As other reviewers have pointed out, the pieces are nice and shiny, and have a pleasant modern look. There are a couple of things to note, however. First, these seem to be very inexpensive stampings from relatively thin metallic sheets. This means that if there is a raised detail on one side of a fork, there is a corresponding recessed detail on the other side. The result is a lightweight feel and a tendency to flex a bit if too much pressure is applied. There was a second surprise that I found while unpacking. The set comes with a long list of instructions. Basically, they state that you must not allow the flatware to dwell in a wet environment. The rules don't say what will happen if you don't follow the recommendations, but I suspect that corrosion may be one of the results. Little by little my set dwindled, perhaps they are hanging out with the mate to all my socks that seem to vanish in the dryer;) I priced flatware at several places, and these are the best deal anywhere. You get twice as much, plus the additional serving fork, spoon, slotted spoon, butter knife, and the 8 steak knives! They didnt feel cheap, have some weight to them, and I like the cleaner lines compared to my old set.
